Bill Cramer is founder and CEO of Wonderful Machine, an art production agency based in Penn Valley, Pennsylvania.
Wonderful Machine's 60 staff members help connect their network of photographers with publications, agencies, and brands around the world.
After graduating from Penn State University, Bill started his career in 1985, working as a photojournalist for the Associated Press, The New York Times, and People Magazine. He then went on to work for over 20 years as a portrait photographer for Forbes, Business Week, and Time, as well as handling corporate, institutional, and advertising assignments.
In 2023, after noticing that so many Wikipedia pages lack photos, he started contributing images from his own archive. Bill has also created an online platform called Common History, where anyone can share their historic photos.
