Dhimal Meghnath

Meghnath Dhimal works as a Chief Research Officer at Nepal Health Research Council, Government of Nepal and also work as a Visiting Faculty of Environmental Health at Tribhuvan University and Kathmandu University in Nepal. He completed his PhD in Geo-sciences (Environmental Health Sciences) from the Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main, Germany in 2015 under German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD) scholarship. He has over 18 years’ experience of teaching, research and policy formulation in Nepal and abroad. Currently, he also serves as member of WHO South East Asia Region Expert Group on Environment Determinants of Health and Climate Change, and the Welcome Trust’s Health Effects of Heat Interventions Advisory Committee. He is also contributing author of IPCCC 6th Assessment report 2022 as well as IAP report on climate change and health in Asia. He has authored more than 300 publications including in the Lancet, BMJ, PLOS, BMC and Frontiers.
