Future Earth Providing More Funding for LMIC Participation in Belmont Forum Call
Future Earth is contributing more research funding for Low and Lower-Middle Income Country participation in the Climate-Environment-Health 2 Belmont Forum call for proposals. The latest Collaborative Research Action (CRA) will “address an unmet need to promote, mobilize, and establish an inclusive, transdisciplinary funding scheme, through the preservation and celebration of diverse communities, research, topics, ecosystems, and creative transformative solutions.”
As part of its annex, Future Earth will fund stakeholder participation. The call is centered around three themes:
- Decision-science of environmental behavior and implementation
- Food, Environment, and Biological Security
- Climate Risks to Ecosystems & Populations
Dates to mark:
- Pre-Proposals are due 15 July
- The application process will open to the public on 15 April
Capacity building activities will be ongoing until January 2024. The Belmont Forum will provide updates about events through its Twitter account and on its calendar. Keep an eye out for announcements about training modules as well.
