The China hub is hosted by China Association for Science and Technology, jointly supported by Sun Yat-sen University, Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Zhuhai), Key Laboratory of Tropical Atmosphere-Ocean System (Sun Yat-sen University, Ministry of Education).

The China Hub will be committed to promoting in-depth cooperation between regional institutions and Future Earth global partners, including:

  • improve the ability to work with stakeholders in designing solutions to major global issues.
  • promote Future Earth and regional stakeholders to jointly implement action plans.
  • set up a regional capacity building center on the basis of the hub
  • work with stakeholders to launch science communication activities targeted at the
  • public and the young generation through multiple channels and forms.
  • promote exchanges between regional member organizations.
  • strengthen international scientific and technological cooperation at the regional
    level
